Water Ballast Management (WBM) and Exhaust Scrubbing Systems (ESS)
WBM and ESS are starting to be approved by ship classing groups and govermment agencies.
Physically integrating the BWM or ESS into a ship and ships's engine room spaces can be problematic. Up-to-date documentation can be hard to find. Piping, electrical, or machinery clashes can lead to delay and costly rework.
Laser scanning gives an accurate 3D model of these spaces detailing , decking, framing, support structure, piping, wiring, machinery footprints.
These models greatly assists the process of planning and implementation of a BWM, ESS or other engine room projects.
Laser scanning is an accurate and effcient way to collect large amounts of real world data or "as-is" data.
MIEC uses medium range laser scanners, hand scanners, measuring arms (scan, probe) and total stations.
The intruments can be used in combination to produce millimeter and sub millimeter accuracies.
Collected data can be processed into diffrent deliverables and formats to suite your needs.
MIEC can deliver 3D surfaces, NURS, lines, clean point clouds, STL (3d printing files), or files for inspection.
